Hunters Creek National Night Out -- October 7, 2008

The 25 th Annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2008.

Last year’s NNO campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.

Hunters Creek (HC) residents took part in the NNO 2007 event by holding numerous block parties through out the neighborhood. Our plan is to have block parties again this year. The purpose of the block parties is to get to know your neighbors better, to talk about incidents in the neighborhood and to share ideas on how to keep an eye out for one and other.

Most often block parties are hosted by the block captains, however, if you do not have a block captain, and you wish to host a party, please contact me.
